The popularity and affection which Flexlands inspires in both parents and children reflects the School's success in providing a traditional academic education in an enlightened, caring environment.
Situated just outside Chobham village, Flexlands has been attracting pupils from a wide catchment area for almost sixty years. An independent, junior school, it prepares girls age 3-11 years for Common Entrance examination to all major senior schools and local day schools.
An excellent staff to pupil ratio ensures a high degree of individual attention and special remedial coaching is available as required. The National Curriculum is followed, with much emphasis on good standards. In addition to all the usual subjects, Design Technology, Music, Art, Drama and Sport feature strongly in a broad curriculum and the School has its own orchestra. To reinforce the Geography syllabus older children undertake an annual field trip either to France or a UK location and this is followed up in class work.
All children are taught to respect and appreciate the natural environment and Flexlands' rural location provides ample opportunity for nature walks and field studies.
Flexlands is an Educational Trust and Registered Charity run by a Board of Governors. There is an active Parents Association and parents have access to staff whenever required. The School is a member of ISIS and IAPS and is ISJC Accredited.
The Headmistress welcomes visits by parents of prospective pupils and invite you to telephone 01276 858841 for a prospectus or to make an appointment.
